Power of Marketing

So no one read my previous blog post, and no one will read this one most likely because I did not/am not harnessing the power of social media, i.e. Facebook. Marketing my random thoughts/writings is a task that feels a bit pretentious right now so I'm not going to do it unless my entry has substance to it. This entry is pretty much a mental note to myself that I should write as often as possible. I have a headache now...Spring and a storm brewin'. I am signing off for now.

Day Off Already?

So it's been 10 days of blogging and I'm ready for a day off, methinks. I don't really have all that much to say today... Mrehill out...

Scaredy Cat

So my boys are into watching Goosebumps lately on Netflix. In case you don't know, it's a "spooky" themed show with all sorts of scary, dark and creepy stuff happening to kids. Ghosts, jump-scares, that sort of thing. They are a bit cheesy, but for a 9 year old and 6 year old, definitely some disturbing stuff. It got me thinking about how I used to like getting scared. At one stage in my development, I liked fear and scary, gory, eerie movies. Now, I am a huge scaredy cat. I don't really want to see any of that stuff. To be honest, even watching these kiddie Goosebumps episodes give me a few goosebumps. Cheesy, I know. I don't need any more disturbing stuff rattling around my head. There is enough awful true life things happening that adding to it with fantasy fear seems unnecessary. Maybe I'm just getting older or something. I could go on, but for now I will leave you with a creepy poem from the graphic novel I'm reading....

So Fresh & So Clean

Ahhh...Tabula Rasa: the clean slate. My Clavicle Aches is finished and Mystery Hill is here. Whether or not this "new and improved" blog is any better remains (wait for it) a mystery! In case your brain is not my brain, Mystery Hill is a play on words with my name: Mr. Eric Hill. If you shorten it to Mr. E Hill, you get the word Mystery Hill. Hence, the new blog title. I had quite the productive day, but I'm not going to ramble about any of that because it's 10:10 and bedtime for me. Right now I am just going to bask in the fresh blogginess of this new blog. All this clean, white, virtual space below just waiting to be filled. Can you smell it? Opportunity galore on Mystery Hill: My New Blog.
